wow, so long since I have been in here--guess I've been doing so much elsewhere that I did not make it this far..

The current project is a pair of penguin socks for Christa--last night, I finished the chart on the first one and it was more like knitting a toy than a sock! The pattern is from a sock of the month calendar that a dear friend who lives in England sent me. I'll post a photo later today--the one I have only shows half of the penguin and I figure I would rather take a new one before I post..

With this muggy weather, socks are a perfect thing to be knitting!

Thursday Ramblings

my tablecloth is slowly progressing..and giving me a great deal of pleasure as I knit it. I am already planning which one to do next, and mentally choosing yarn color! This is so different from my usual projects, it's almost like doing a different craft..

Been so busy doing errands lately that, other than knitting on the above, I've barely knit or been online for a week, and have missed my needles and electronic pen pals..

Oh! our rhubarb is up and looking soooo nice! I had to take a couple of pics of that prior to cutting any, and it is looking so ready to be cut! Rhubarb for supper tomorrow...

trying again

after two days of trying to add to my previous blog, I've surrendered and am starting anew.

This past week, we've seen several new babies added to our bovine family..love watching them as they start life

Finished another pr socks last night..meant to get camera out and take a photo of them, and the previous 3 pr...I hope I get to it before they get worn..I think son #4 carted them off last night

got up to rain this morning..dreary out..as I have a lot of account catching up to do, perhaps just as well--I need to get into it as tax day approaches
